Sunrunner Sommer School -project kick-off

Kick-off of the industry project as part of the SUNRUNNER Summer School in Stellenbosch, South Africa - eleven students of the Master's programme "Digital Industrial Management and Engineering" under the supervision of Prof. Hummel will be dealing with the optimisation of an internationally operating SME from the fruit processing industry over the next two weeks.

The DIME team is supporting Euroberry (Pty) Ltd in the form of three sub-projects in the areas of:

  • "intralogistics" - designing, optimising and documenting the processes of receiving, storing and retrieving goods,

  • "automation" - identification of automation potential, roadmap and priorities, and

  • "predictive maintenance" - concept, design of the required processes/approaches, data and information.

and can actively transfer the know-how acquired in the DIME programme to industrial companies.
